We grow several varieties of blueberries, available for picking approximately early July through August.
Our blueberries are naturally grown, without the use of sprays on the foliage and fruit.

Duke

Harvest Period:
Early July – Late July

Flavor: Mildly tart, good quality flavor
Size/Color: Medium-large, firm, light blue berry, fairly uniform in size
Introduced: 1987
Origin: A Northern Highbush variety with parentage including Ivanhoe and Earliblue
Special Characteristics: Longer storage life than most blueberries and can even improve in flavor with some cold storage
Best Use: Fresh eating, freezing or processing

Bluecrop

Harvest Period:
Early July – Late July

Flavor: Slightly tart, flavorful berries
Size/Color: Large, light blue berry
Introduced: Unknown
Origin: A Northern Highbush variety
Special Characteristics: Berries are often reddish on one side (called ‘red backs’) when picked before fully ripe
Best Use: Fresh eating, baking, freezing or processing

Jersey

Harvest Period:
Mid July – August

Flavor: Very sweet and firm in texture
Size/Color: Medium-large, dark blue berry
Introduced: 1900’s
Origin: An heirloom classic with unknown parentage
Special Characteristics: Tolerates a wide range of soil types and produces beautiful orange foliage in the fall
Best Use: Fresh eating and baking
